Welcome Duke students! If you are considering studying abroad for a semester or immersing yourself in the Chinese language and culture through a short program, we encourage you to take advantage of all that DKU has to offer: a modern campus near Suzhou, one of China's most vibrant cities, with proximity to both traditional towns and the metropolis of Shanghai; interdisciplinary courses and an exceptional community of faculty and peers from around the world; a schedule designed to encourage exploration beyond the classroom; and much more.

You can study at DKU for a semester or academic year, improve your Chinese language skills through DKU's new Chinese Intensive Summer Language (CISL) program, or participate in short summer courses in DKU's Global Summer Institute (GSI)

The semester/academic year at DKU application for Duke students is administered by the Duke Global Education Office, and the program is Duke-approved. You can learn more, access the application, and find tuition information on the DKU visiting student website

The language of instruction at DKU is English. Visiting students reside on the DKU campus and take classes taught by DKU or by visiting Duke faculty members. To learn more credit transfers and program costs, visit the GEO DKU program page.

Additionally, DODR welcomes inquiries from student groups and individual students interested in building collaborative Duke-DKU programming or visiting DKU. Send us a note at dkurelations@duke.edu or contact irina.adams@duke.edu
