International Enrollment Management Office at Duke
An enrollment team based at Duke University is responsible for international (non-China) student recruitment and admissions efforts for the undergraduate academic program offered at DKU in Kunshan, China.
Russell Davis
Director of International Enrollment, Office of International Enrollment Management
Russell Davis joined the IEM team that recruits students for DKU in the summer of 2017. Soon after, he relocated to China where he spent two years with his wife and two daughters living in the city of Suzhou, before returning to Durham in July of 2019. Prior to joining the IEM team, Russell was the Associate Director of Admissions at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business where he worked for eleven years. His primary responsibilities included leading Fuqua’s MBA recruitment efforts across Asia. He began his career in education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he worked in the Kenen-Flagler Business School’s MBA International Programs Office.
The son of an ex-pat, Russell attended schools in Singapore, Tokyo, and eventually graduated from the American School in London. These cross-cultural experiences inspired him to pursue a career in international education. Russell particularly enjoys sharing his insights into the admissions process and has presented at various conferences including Executive MBA Council Conference and College Board’s Summer Institute, and regularly conducts workshops on the college application process. He has a passion for travel and experiencing different cultures, a passion he shares with anyone who is willing to listen! Outside of work and travel, Russell enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
Originally from Houston, TX, Russell graduated from Trinity University with a B.A. in Psychology.
Alyson Lucas
Global Recruitment Officer, Office of International Enrollment Management
Alyson Lucas is a Global Recruitment Officer for the undergraduate program at DKU. Her main responsibilities are traveling to meet with students in South Asia and the southeast region of the United States to connect them with the amazing opportunity to earn a Duke education in China.
Alyson received her degrees in International Relations and East Asian Studies from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and has lived and studied abroad in Nagoya, Japan. Previously before joining the IEM team, she worked as an international recruiter at Indiana Institute of Technology for international students coming to the US. When not connecting with students, Alyson also enjoys reading entire books in one sitting, hiking, and exploring all things food related in the Durham area and beyond.
Jennifer Koech
International Parent Engagement Coordinator, Office of International Enrollment Management
Jennifer Koech joined in October 2021 as the International Parent Engagement Coordinator with the International Student Services Office. Her main role is coordinating communication and fostering engagement with parents of DKU international undergraduate students. In her role, she collaborates closely with the International Enrollment Management office and the Duke Office of DKU Relations. She has enjoyed working in international education and cultural exchange for over 15 years. Previously, she worked with New Oasis International Education in Greensboro, North Carolina, as a Global Program Coordinator where she supported international students in their study-abroad program. Before that, she worked with the U.S. State Department’s premier professional exchange program, the International Visitor Leadership Program, as an International Visitor Liaison. Jennifer has a Bachelor's Degree in English Education from Pensacola Christian College.

Megan Raley
Admissions Coordinator, Office of International Enrollment Management
Megan Raley joined the IEM team based in Durham, North Carolina in March 2023. As Admissions Coordinator, she supports the IEM team in a variety of administrative, operational, and financial roles. She is responsible for managing key admissions data in our Slate database, reviewing applications, coordinating procurement and expenses, managing the production of recruitment materials, and overall support for the Duke-based IEM office. She holds a Fulbright Honors BFA from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. In her spare time, she enjoys learning about garment construction and sewing.
